I like this version of his outfit better than your last KH Darkwing. I'm looking forward to seeing it colored.

That said, if he's using two keyblades, he can't use his gas-gun. Also, if it's just him and Launchpad, how will they invoke trinities? You've said you dislike Sora, but why not simply replace him with another otherworldly person from a far-off place like Destiny Island?

In the original KH, the default balance of play is Donald as magic-type, Goofy as defense-type, and Sora as attack-type, right? Well, consider: Launchpad is clearly a defense-type, and Darkwing (much like Negaduck) is obviously an attack-type. Unless you're thinking of throwing Morganna McCawber into the mix, that leaves an opening for a magic-type. Let the keyblade-wielder be a mystic, who directs the quest because he understands what the problem is better than Darkwing does. Darkwing would think of himself as the leader (of course), and this mystic as merely an advisor, but the keyblade is intrinsically a magical item. It's a good fit.

Besides, I just love the idea of the Mighty Midnight Mallard tearing through Heartless with his oldschool props, gas gun, buzzsaw cufflinks, and mad leet quack fu skills.

This really looks AWESOME!! Wow! I really love his expression of ANGER!! GREAT JOB!

And you think the outfit's better? Hmm, intriguing... ^^ Not sure why... I think my problem is that I really liked all the useless straps hanging off of the outfit, despite their... uselessness. But I am happy that this outfit also does him some justice, so wee Thank you for your comment
