My sister has too many characters. Too many awesomesauce characters. Too many awesomesauce characters that I must draw because they are JUST THAT AWESOME (and because my sister is so full of awesome :D).

As soon as I saw this character, I printed out a reference pic... Meet her drum-playing Asian boy with a quirky fashion sense, Kai Yakimura! :D (she has referred to him as Yakimura Kai before, so my assumption is that he is Japanese) I think it was the hair that got me with this character... He seemed like a fun, don't give a rat's ass kinda guy, and I thought he deserved some of my lovin' :D I saw a pose similar to this in my reference book, and thought it would ROCK if I drew Kai in it (HUR HUR I SO PUNNY!) So, yay!

I goofed though, 'cause after I had this inked and base coloured, Jessie went and drew him again with a lip ring and 2 earrings. GAH, sorry about that, Jess!

I'm quite pleased with this one, despite the angle of the pose. Usually these poses turn out terrible for me, so YAY! And OMG, I am happy with the detail I did with the little addition I gave him... A DRUMSTICK HOLSTER!! :XD: Hee hee! I figure he's the kinda guy whose always ready to bop a beat, so I figured I should add those in there. Please ignore the horridness of the smegging sticks though.^^; DUR.

And I now like to think that he fills in as a drummer once in awhile for Ryerson's and Ryan's celtic rock band ^^; Hee. Oh Jessie, our universe is getting too big :XD: Hee.

The pic isn't overly exciting, but I want to try to steer away from crappy computer done BGs if I can help it. I didn't draw him nearly as effeminate as Jessie does, but I hope she still likes it :)

Excellent character design, that drum stick holster is badd ass. The tail being all swooshy looks really fun, gives the sense of movement - love the angle too ^_^
