Hey all. Still (barely) alive and kicking :) Well, today's that ridiculous "holiday" that we singles think is the stupidest day in the world, a day where purchasing $80 roses when they are $30 any other time of the year is romantic and awesome. Oy. :no: I've always thought it ridiculous of a day... Love should be for all year round, you don't need a special day for it. :shrug: Anyway, I won't be thinking about it much... I have to work today. Horrah. It's been a lot of long hours of working this week, and this upcoming week is not looking promising either. *sighs* The only plus is that I have been told that I am NOT to work on Family Day (Monday), so... YAY. Sucks I don't get a three day weekend. Poo for me.

So my life the past week has seriously been work. Nothing more. I'm very tired and drowsy, but I'm surviving. I really want to get artwork done, but time.., NOT THERE. *sighs* YAY.

Other news, I saw Coraline on Sunday... seems EVERYONE ELSE was able to see it in 3D but me!!! *cries* Our cinema is SO shitty. Our cinema isn't a Real 3D equipped theatre. *sighs* Oh well. I still enjoyed it though. Freaky and awesome. Great flick, buying this one new, I think :)

Anyway, that's... about it.



I have a bit of art to upload, but nothing too exciting. Blarg and I have SO much to get through on my watch list. UGH. When I get my free time back, I will be starting my tutorial. Other than that... Sorry guys, I've nothing.

"Love should be for all year round, you don't need a special day for it." - I totally agree, even though I'm involved I seriously think it's stupid to force emotion into a very false and money reaping day. So a high five to you for saying this :D

Hope you get some time off soon to get some time to relax too ^_^

First off, I have to say that I LOVE the color scheme in your journal. :love: I'm just nuts about blue!

Second, I have fun on Valentine's Day without a "significant other". I like to make some rose-petal tea and finger sandwiches, light a scented candle, and watch old romantic movies or listen to some romantic music while scarfing down Valentine's sweets. It's worked for me for years. :D

The Ducky so agrees with ya there :giggle: This day is right up there with Mother's Day and Father's Day. Everyday should be Mother's Day, Father's Day, or Valentine's Day where ya constantly show your appreciation to your family and loved ones. And the Restaurants really rape ya with with the prices of meals, not to mention the florists (although Bushroot loves all the attention though :giggle: ) Well, the Ducky will certainly watch My Valentine Ghoul....an annual Valentine's Day Tradition :giggle: :giggle:

Hmmm...Being married as long as I have, we just look at the day as a reminder to say the important things that sometimes go by the wayside when everyday life is happening. After 12 years or so, it's amazing that we even remember to say hello sometimes. That's not to say we aren't madly in love with eachother, but we just get comfortable knowing that the others are around. I would never, have never and will never buy flowers for more than they are worth, or diamonds or the like...I hate the diamond cartels BTW...Chocolate however...I mean who doesn't want something sweet thrown their way once in awhile?

BTW...have you seen the first promo pictures from the new Red Dwarf Specials coming out in a couple of months? Who knew that Androids developed wrinkles and holograms' hair turned gray. Rimmer is back to his series 3-5 tunics, only in blue, I assume to signify that he is in Hard-Light mode.

If my guy spent $80 dollars on something that will day in a matter of days, make a week, he's getting beat the hell up. That's an outfit. Or shoes. Something I could actually use or give a crap about a month from now.

Meh, Valentine's Day for me is an excuse to get laid. A lot. Gotta admit...kinda diggin that day. :rofl:

Happily, even when I wasn't single, I've always thought Valentine's day was a crock, most people don't even know it's based on three different guys with the same name, and even more probably forgot about the Massacre in 1929. Oh well.
