Hey everyone!! I hope you have been really well! It's been a very long time, but I really have a great reason for my long hiatus, and since all the legal hullaballo is dealt with, I can now talk about it!



Yeah talk about NO NOTICE. My job was able to transfer me to Ottawa, where I will be closer to my family and friends. I wasn't expecting this AT ALL, and it came as a total surprise... I was half-expecting to work out in Wallaceburg begrudgingly for a few months, then would let me choose to move on from there, but a good word was put in by one of the REALLY higher-ups at The Observer, and it ALL snowballed from there! So, I was only on my 3rd or fourth day working in Wallaceburg when I got the call to talk to the production manager in Ottawa, and yeah, I'm starting there after the May Long Weekend (the 19th)! I'm very excited, a bit terrified, but am looking forward to starting my life all over again. The best part? I've already a roommate, my best friend Julie from Kingston, whom also got a job in Ottawa!

It has been a TERRIBLY long time since I have felt so positive about ANYTHING. This may sound dorky, but too many coincidences have all been happening at once... that I cannot see it as more than a sign of my Daddy watching out for me.

It has to be. It's been SO LONG since I have been this... optimistic about ANYTHING, especially where my life is concerned.

A year and a half too long.

I'll be staying with my Uncle until Julie and I find a place... should be easy this time of the year with all the college / university students gone, so I'm not TERRIBLY concerned, but I am optimistic that the place I was looking at online, I will get. It's only 10 minutes from the new job, and in my Uncle's neighbourhood (which is very lovely), so yes. Happy. Tickled pink. Whatever you want to call it, I am all of those.

SO. With that said, I am out of internet on the 16th, when I leave. I'll probably be able to hook up to my Uncle's, but I don't want to be a bother. So I'll try to catch up here before I leave, anyway, so y'all don't think I'm dead.


First off, because this is art related, I want to take this time to congratulate my good friend =rainbwice who just released her graphic novels, Faux Facts and her newest release, Ah Heck! at Amazon.com, just in time for ComicCon! You should check them out! Congratulations, Mary!!

Secondly... SORRY to everyone who only come here for my artwork. I've got nothing. A few pics draw, lots of base-coloured work, but nothing more really. Even with the move to Wallaceburg, I am STILL working insane hours. I think that's just the way real estate is always going to be, and my tired old body can't take it anymore. *sighs* I'm hoping to have some stuff for you once I head to Ottawa.

Thirdly, I've rekindled my interest in writing fanfics, particularly FINISHING the Sonic series one I started over 10 years ago, The Metallic Touch starting right from scratch with a complete overhaul of the series right to the final 4 stories I have planned. I also have a couple ideas for DWD ones, a KH / DWD crossover, and 4 Ranma 1/2 ones. There seems to be interest from many random people who just, upon seeing my dA name and MT Series artwork, say "HEY! You're the one that wrote that story a long time ago! Where can I find it???" It's kind of humbling that, after this long of time, people still remember it and still like it.

Imagine my happiness coming back to dA after two weeks and seeing I have a note directing me to fan art for a long-forgotten Sonic fanfic series I wrote and haven't touched fully since 1999. Thank you to ~SonicRemix for these lovely tribute pics.


So, with that said, I should be off. I've lots of packing to do, or sort out anyway, and I don't want to be stressing when I have to physically take everything out. Take care everyone, and hopefully I'll have time to write again before Ottawa!
